Travel Opportunities

Every year, TFF, along with its travel consultants in China and the U.S., designs reasonably priced tours especially for our teachers. For example, for 2009, we offered two tours before the July sessions begin. Also there were tours available to our September teachers.

Each year we offer a trip for new teachers who have never been to China. It includes visiting Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an—home of the Terra Cotta Warriors-- China’s most popular tourist destinations.

Our second tour, primarily for those who have visited China before, has not yet been developed. As examples of such tours, we have left our 2009 tours online. We will make an announcement on the Home Page when the 2010 tours have been confirmed.

An experienced TFF teacher will accompany each tour, with professional Chinese tour guides in each location.

Beijing Duck Because TFF is a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers, the cost of all of our tours is well below the cost of similar tours run by "for profit" businesses. In addition, because many of our volunteers are "old China hands", we are able to make good use of their expertise and contacts. All of the companies we use in China are licensed, bonded and approved by the government.

Our 2009 tours are listed as examples. We will certainly continue the Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an tour, popular with first-time teachers. Other tours for 2010 are under development.
